For this exercise, you'll continue to use the Windows 10 virtual PC CYBERND01PRJ01 to identify the system type and the security measures or controls in place to protect it.
Sign in to the Windows 10 virtual PC provided with this class. If you don't know how to get remote control of the virtual PC, please follow Step 4. Return to lab VM in the document Setup Student LAB

After right-clicking on the Windows Start icon, select "Computer Management." This window has a lot of additional information about the system. Enter at least three of the options available in the Computer Management window. You'll use this for other exercises.
ANSWER:
Computer Management functions include the Event Viewer, Shared Folders, Local Users and Computers, and Services.
Part 4: Local Security Policies

QUESTION:
On the Windows search bar, type “Local Security Policy” to access it. Click the > arrow next to both “Account Policies” and "Local Policies" and review their contents. Review the password policies and record your observations about the passwords and account lockout policies currently set on this PC. This should have been set in an earlier exercise.
Under Local Policies, click the > arrow next to "Security Options," review the many security settings available within Windows Operating Systems and record your observations.
ANSWER:
The Password Policy contains the password requirements for this system. The Account Lockout Policy contains the requirements for the number of times a password can be tried and how long an account may be locked. This should have been set in an earlier exercise. It never hurts to double-check.
Windows Security Options allow the fine-tuning of security settings within a Windows operating system. You can set requirements for accounts, Devices, Interactive logon, and Network Access and Security.
